背景说明：This pentapeptide sequence, located within domain III of the laminin B1 chain, represents a major receptor binding site in laminin. By competing with laminin for the cell surface receptor, the peptide is able to inhibit cell attachment to basement membranes, thus preventing the formation of tumor metastases. The peptide also promotes tumor cell migration and, moreover, mediates the adhesion of a variety of epithelial cells to laminin.
