背景说明：This is a short fragment of the b-Amyloid peptide containing two aromatic phenylalanine residues. Short peptide models have provided novel insight into the mechanistic issues of amyloid formation. This heptapeptide fragment has the capacity of forming typical amyloid fibrils in vitro. Aromatic interactions are important in many cases of amyloid formation.
